About SB 160

This legislation would:

• Prohibit health insurers from making mid-year negative formulary changes that disrupt patient access to prescribed medications
• Protect patients from being forced to switch therapies for non-medical reasons, preserving continuity of care and treatment stability
• Reduce the risk of adverse health outcomes, hospitalizations, and higher long-term costs caused by abrupt changes in drug coverage
