Dear advocates,
Across the country, cuts and threats to health care, public health, scientific research, and evidence-based policy are putting patients, providers, researchers, and communities at risk.
On Thursday, September 24, Doctors for America is joining organizations nationwide for SOS for Health: A National Day of Action.
There are three ways to take action:
- Organize an event. Check out the Day of Action Toolkit for ideas and resources to organize a gathering at or near your workplace, school, or institution. Actions can be small or large, bring together colleagues, friends, patients, unions, and community members.
- Take it to social media. Download the ready-made SOS for Health signs, snap a photo, and tell people why protecting health and science matters to you. Share your message using #SOSforHealth and encourage others to join the movement.
- Contact your legislators. Use DFA’s action alert to tell your elected officials why protecting health care, public health, science, and research matters to you, your patients, and your community.
Together, we can stand up for:
- Medicaid and health care access
- Science, research, and evidence-based policy
- Public health and environmental protection
- Immigrant, reproductive, and LGBTQ+ health
- Health care workers and patients
- Academic freedom and free speech
- Democracy and health equity
Big or small, every action matters. Join us on September 24, and make your voice heard for health, science, and public health.
In Solidarity,
Doctors for America
