Hillary In Leaked Email: Saudi Arabia And Qatar Are Funding ISIS

  10:07 PM 10/10/2016

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton sent an email to her campaign chairman John Podesta in 2014, who was then-counselor to President Barack Obama, that said Saudi Arabia and Qatar are both giving financial and logistical support to the Islamic State and other extremist Sunni groups, according to a recent Wikileaks release.

Clinton sent the email on August 17, 2014 to Podesta. It was an eight-point plan to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Clinton's email said that the United States should support Kurdish forces on the ground with U.S. military advisers and avoid the use of a conventional ground operation.

"While this military/para-military operation is moving forward, we need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region," Clinton wrote.

The former secretary of state added: "This effort will be enhanced by the stepped up commitment in the [Kurdish Regional Government]. The Qataris and Saudis will be put in a position of balancing policy between their ongoing competition to dominate the Sunni world and the consequences of serious U.S. pressure."

The email from Clinton to Podesta contains a similar format of previous intelligence reports Clinton ally Sidney Blumenthal would send to the former secretary of state. The Daily Caller has previously reported how Clinton had previously asked aides to remove markings showing Blumenthal wrote the reports before sending them to White House officials.

Hillary Dreams of 'Open Trade and Open Borders'

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton admitted she takes two positions on policy issues.

One in private - ostensibly, the "real" position - and one for the public, according to a damaging email leak released on Friday by WikiLeaks that included clips of Clinton's paid speeches to Wall Street banks and other organizations.

My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders.

WikiLeaks released emails reportedly from John Podesta, chairman of the Clinton campaign, on Friday, around 6 p.m.

Podesta received comments made in past Hillary Clinton speeches flagged as potential liabilities.

"You just have to sort of figure out how to - getting back to that word, 'balance' - how to balance the public and the private efforts that are necessary to be successful, politically, and that's not just a comment about today," Clinton said in a speech for the National Multi-Housing Council on April 23, 2013. "It is unsavory, and it always has been that way, but we usually end up where we need to be. But if everybody's watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position."

The amazing admission made in a paid speech to an industry group was just one nugget of candor that could hurt Hillary Clinton on Election Day. Many of the leaked transcripts contain red flags that could anger many in the coalition that Clinton is trying to build.

Donna Brazile Shared CNN Town Hall Questions With Clinton Camp

UPDATE: Business Insider is reporting that a Democratic party official says that Brazile's email was not based on a CNN town hall question. Instead, the official claims that the question was for a panel Brazile was set to appear on.

But Mediaite notes that the question asked by town hall co-host Roland Martin was very similar to the message Brazile sent to Palmieri.

Posted By Chuck Ross On 12:19 PM 10/11/2016 In | No Comments

Donna Brazile, the current head of the Democratic National Committee, appears to have tipped the Clinton campaign off to a question about the death penalty that was going to be asked during a CNN town hall in March, newly released emails show.

"From time to time I get the questions in advance," Brazile wrote in an email to Clinton campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri on March 12.

Brazile, who was a CNN contributor at the time of the email, went on to ask Palmieri about Clinton's stance on the death penalty.

"Here's one that worries me about HRC," wrote Brazile in the email, which was released on Tuesday by Wikileaks. The emails come from the Gmail account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

"Yes, it is one she gets asked about," Palmieri responded. "Not everyone likes her answer but can share it. Betsaida - can you send her answer on death penalty?"

Clinton was indeed asked about her stance on the death penalty during a CNN-hosted town hall the next day in Columbus, Ohio.

Ricky Jackson, a former death row inmate who was exonerated after serving 39 years in an Ohio prison, asked Clinton the question.

[dcquiz] "I would breathe a sigh of relief if either the courts or the states themselves began to eliminate the death penalty," Clinton told Jackson.

"What happened to you is a travesty and I can't even imagine what you went through and how terrible those days and nights must have been for all those years," she continued.

The revelation of Brazile's help for Clinton is ironic given the circumstances by which she came to be interim head of the DNC. She took the position in July after DNC emails released by Wikileaks that month showed that then-chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was highly critical of Clinton's primary opponent, Bernie Sanders.

The email also undercuts Brazile's claim throughout the primaries that she was a neutral commentator regarding Clinton and Sanders.

Brazile did not issue an endorsement until June 7, when Clinton routed Sanders in California.

"I've maintained my neutrality, and that's very important to me as an officer, but I want to say how incredibly important his campaign, I think, has been this entire political season," she said at the time.

The Washington Post was convinced that Brazile was neutral. After Brazile took over as interim head of the DNC, The Post's Callum Borchers wrote:

While Wasserman Schultz was constantly accused by the Sanders campaign of harboring a pro-Clinton bias, Brazile, a regular presence on CNN during coverage of debates and state primaries, consistently provided impartial analysis.

Benghazi Committee Dems Coordinated With Top Clinton Lawyer

Posted By Kevin Daley On 4:19 PM 10/10/2016

New documents released by WikiLeaks in connection with its dump of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta's email indicate that Democrats on the House Select Committee on Benghazi coordinated with David Kendall, Bill and Hillary Clinton's long time private counsel.

Kendall, of Williams & Connolly, has represented the Clinton's since 1993, when he was retained in connection with the Whitewater investigation.

"Benghazi Committe Dems want us to know that Gowdy has just quietly signed up to appear live on FTN this Sunday," Kendall wrote, in reference to Face the Nation, the CBS Sunday morning political program hosted by John Dickerson. "Apparently, R's were disappointed in how little media pick up the SB email 'revelations' got. I'm not sure there's much we can do but be forewarned," he continued, in reference to news that Sidney Blumenthal, a long time Clinton confidant who was banned from joining the administration by White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, was advising Mrs. Clinton in an informal capacity.

[dcquiz] The email was sent to Jennifer Palmieri, the campaign's communications director, and Nick Merrill, Clinton's traveling press secretary. Senior Clinton aides Cheryl Mills, Heather Samuelson, and Katherine Turner were also copied on the message. All three are lawyers who have counseled Clinton throughout the probe of the private email server she maintained during her tenure as Secretary of State. All three were present when she was questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Hillary Clinton: Common Core is a Political Failure

By

On Friday Wikileaks leaked part of the over 2,060 emails that were hacked from John Podesta's email account. Podesta is Clinton's campaign chairman. The emails reveal transcripts of some of the private speeches that were closed to the press which are very eye opening. The speech excerpts were gathered and flagged by the Clinton campaign research director Tony Clark and sent to a small group of people that included Podesta.

In the attachment included with the email all of the speech "flags" were listed including a comment on Common Core from a speech given at Knewton on July 22, 2014. You can read the entire document yourself here (I have converted it from a Microsoft Word document to a pdf so you can read it online without having to download it).

Here is what she said about Common Core:

Hillary Clinton: Common Core Was "A Political Failure." In her remarks at Knewton, Hillary Clinton said, "The common core is a perfect example.  I mean, the common core was negotiated by a bipartisan group of governors.  And maybe they thought - I mean, I think this was a political failure because they negotiated something and they had no real agreed-upon program for explaining it and selling it to people so that they left an opening for those who were always in the education debate, who don't think anybody should be told anything about what to study, even if it's the multiplication tables.  You know, that that should all be left to local control. And then you get into more complicated areas, as we all know, that that's just totally off limits.  And then using common core results for teacher evaluation when everybody knew that it was going to be complicated to implement." Hacked: Website crashes after publishing Clinton associate files

By (@RudyTakala) 10/6/16 7:05 PM

The secret-leaking website DCLeaks went down on Thursday evening, shortly after posting documents it says were obtained by hacking a key aide to Hillary Clinton at the State Department.

The files included emails from Capricia Penavic Marshall, whose 2009-13 tenure as chief of protocol at the department overlapped with Clinton's time as secretary of state. Documents had been grouped in categories such as "Clinton Foundation" and "Conversations with Clinton's team."

Marshall began working for Clinton as an assistant during Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign for the White House. The hacked emails, purportedly obtained from Marshall's personal Gmail account, ranged from March 2015 to June 2016.

DCLeaks crashed just hours after publishing the files, with attempts to access the site on Thursday evening being met with a message informing users of an "error establishing a database connection."
The website has published emails and documents hacked from a range of public officials and political staffers this year. Those have included liberal billionaire George Soros, former secretary of state Colin Powell, staffers to Arizona Sen. John McCain and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, and White House staffer Ian Mellul.
