Help Us Fight for Transportation Funding for Disabled New Jerseyans
October 7, 2021 by Jacob Caplan

We need your help in building support for S-3441. This legislation would allow for the creation of individual travel budgets for New Jerseyans living with developmental disabilities. This bill will also enable coordination of transportation services between DDD, counties, and service providers.

By enabling the creation of travel budgets, New Jersey can help countless residents living with disabilities get to the other side of inaccessible transportation. Additionally, by increasing cooperation between county paratransit services and providers, we can reduce costs, increase efficiency, and remove logistical barriers as well.

As services begin to reopen, it is essential that support for the transit needs of program participants is in place, S-3441 will do just that. This bill has already unanimously passed the General Assembly, but it has not moved in the Senate. Please use this form to contact your Senators today!
