Congress is currently working to pass its “One Big Beautiful Bill,” a destructive piece of legislation that will harm farmers, eaters, rural and urban communities and everyone in between. If passed, this budget bill would slash food assistance for those in need, reduce market opportunities for farmers, take away support for farmers working to address climate change and those responding to natural disasters, and reduce the chances of passing the long-overdue farm bill. The bill also harms rural communities by slashing Medicaid, which many farmers and rural hospitals depend on. 

This bill further tilts the scale in favor of the largest and most well-off producers, corporations and consumers. Take action with Farm Aid and tell your representatives that what we want is a thriving food system that benefits everyone, not “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
