New Jersey - Help Recognize the Value of the Sanskrit Language
New Jersey legislators, Senator Vin Gopal (District 11) and Assemblywoman Margie Donlan, M.D. (District 11), have introduced joint resolutions to recognize Sanskrit as one of the world languages.

Sanskrit is the oldest language of ancient India and was the classical literary language of Hindus. SJR 267 / AJR 230 would acknowledge the value of the Sanskrit language, not only to the Hindu and Indian communities, but also its influence on 97 percent of the world languages. These resolutions would also recognize the contributions of the Hindu and Indian communities to world cultures.

To get these resolutions passed, we need YOU to contact your New Jersey State Legislators to urge them to co-sponsor joint resolutions SJR 267 / AJR 230!
