Push Back Against Anti-Hindu Hate - Urge Congress to Affirm Hindu Americans
In 2025, more Hindu Americans have risen in the ranks of American politics and gained prominence in many other fields, and with that, there has been an increase in misinformation and the perpetuation of negative stereotypes about Hindus in the news, across social media, and within local communities. Anti-Hindu hate is at an all-time high and rather than receiving solidarity from our country’s leadership, some of our most prominent political figures have openly spoken out against Hinduism, planting further seeds of mistrust and disdain for the Hindu American community.

Because of this narrative, Hindu Americans have faced harassment, an avalanche of online hate, vandalism of our temples, hate crimes, and threats of deportation. Our sacred holidays have been demonized and we have been treated like trespassers in our own country.

This rhetoric must stop.

Staying silent in the face of injustice and threats of violence against Hindu Americans can no longer be tolerated. Allowing the narrative to continue fuels the misunderstanding and hatred that keeps Hindu Americans living in fear of their own neighbors and of the institutions that are meant to protect them. Only with the support of our government leadership can we hope to push back against the negative perception being spread about Hindus to create a sense of safety and welcome in the US.

We need you to reach out to your federal legislators and ask them to acknowledge and affirm the contributions Hindu Americans have made throughout American history, and the value Hindu Americans have within our national community.
