Urge Congress to Condemn Hindu Persecution in Bangladesh
Over the last year, there have been four waves of Islamist militant violence targeting Bangladesh's Hindu religious minority population, which makes up approximately 10% of the country's population (about 14 million people). The most recent violence began last Friday, October 15th as Hindus mark the beginning of the holiday Durga Puja. The attacks on Hindu villages, destruction of homes and religious sites, and the violent videos of Hindus being slaughtered in the streets continues today.

The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is calling on the Hindu American community and all human rights activists of all backgrounds and religions to take action now!

Send the letter now to your Senators and Representative in Congress and urge them to make a statement condemning the violent attacks against Hindus in Bangladesh, and call on the Bangladesh government to protect religious minorities, shut down religious extremist groups and bring the perpetrators responsible to justice.

For more information about Hindu persecution in Bangladesh, read HAF’s latest Bangladesh Human Rights Report.
