Tell Your Senators: Oppose the Credit Card Competition Act Amendment
The Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA) has been filed as an amendment to the GENIUS Act, which is now being considered on the Senate floor.

This amendment would apply to credit cards a similar routing mandate that was imposed on debit cards under the Durbin Amendment, transferring control over routing decisions from banks and consumers to merchants. Implementing such a mandate for credit cards is both cost-prohibitive and impractical, and would lead to significant disruptions across the payments system.

If enacted, it would increase profits for big-box retailers while harming the banking industry and the customers we serve. It would reduce access to credit, increase the risk to consumer data security, and eliminate many of the rewards programs that credit cardholders value.

Your voice matters. Please take a moment to contact your Senators and urge them to oppose this harmful amendment.

Thank you for your advocacy.
