Support Bipartisan Legislation to Include Hearing Aid Specialists in the VA Community Care Program
Many of you and your Hearing Aid Specialist (HAS) colleagues provide services to veterans either free of charge or at a higher out-of-pocket cost to the veteran - because you are unable to be included in the VA Community Care Program.

This is despite earlier Congressional action requiring the VA to make HAS part of the Direct Care facilities in the VA.

The International Hearing Society (IHS) supports the bipartisan H.R. 3088, which will resolve this issue by expanding access to the 1.3 million veterans with hearing loss to utilize HAS in the Community Care program if the veteran faces significant wait or drive times.

IHS calls upon you to let your Representative know you support this bill and why they should cosponsor this important legislation to increase hearing healthcare options for veterans.
