Support Amending Virginia "Total Price" Advertising Bill SB 388
What’s Happening: The Virginia Legislature has introduced a bill that would require fitness facilities to prominently feature the total price when advertising, displaying, or offering pricing information for goods or services.

Why it Matters: Displaying a 'total price' is impractical in the Health & Fitness Industry due to diverse offerings including monthly access charges and variable ancillary services like athletic training, spa treatments, additional fitness classes, and consumer goods, which change from person to person.

What We’re Doing: IHRSA is engaging with the legislature seeking to exempt the industry from the proposal as it is being considered.

How You Can Help: Take action and email your elected official urging their support of exempting the health and fitness industry from SB 388.
