Mark your calendars and make plans to attend HOD 2021! As we continue to navigate through various restrictions and mandates as it relates to the ongoing pandemic, the Board of Governors voted to postpone the upcoming House of Delegates and reschedule it for August 2021. Stay tuned! More information to be provided in the coming months.
Learn More About the NEW Membership Virtual Engagement Portal (M-VEP)
The LSMS Board of Governors is excited to announce the new Membership Engagement Virtual Portal (M-VEP) as a tool to help members stay engaged throughout the year. While we understand the process is new, we firmly believe that members will benefit from its timeliness and effectiveness, allowing the Board to continue conducting business and move the society forward.
M-VEP officially launched earlier this week. Click here to start the process and access the submission form. CIS Invites Participants to Join the Great American Smokeout
LSMS 100% group, Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) clinics are celebrating the Great American Smokeout on Nov. 19, 2020, by scheduling appointments for the CIS Commit To Quit tobacco cessation program. This will be a week-long tobacco cessation event, and CIS's theme this year is Distance Yourself from Tobacco.
Commit To Quit at CIS combines medical evaluations, medications (both prescription and nicotine replacement), and supportive counseling sessions (both individually and as a group). Some of these services may be available to Louisiana residents free of charge through benefits of the Louisiana Smoking Cessation Trust.
