Support the IDEA Full Funding Act
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) guarantees students with disabilities a free and appropriate public education. When the U.S. Congress passed IDEA 50 years ago, IDEA was pledged to cover 40% of the costs of educating students with disabilities. Today, 50 years later, IDEA is only funded at about 10%.

Over 60 national organizations, including leading voices in education, disability advocacy, and civil rights, support the IDEA Full Funding Act (H.R. 2598 / S. 1277). These groups call on Congress to fulfill IDEA's 50-year-old promise to students with disabilities because they know how critical it is to ensure every student has the tools and support to thrive.

As we mark the 50th anniversary of IDEA, your voice matters. Please join MAAPS and thousands of others as together, we urge members of Congress to cosponsor and support the IDEA Full Funding Act this session.
