American Mosquito Control Association
Appropriations to Mitigate the Threat of Vector-borne Diseases
Dear AMCA Members,

I hope you and yours are safe and well. We are finalizing information on AMCA’s request for FY26 appropriations or federal funding. If successful, we will maintain the current funding levels($40 million) and increase the existing ELC line item for the CDC by $10 million to provide direct grants to support the expansion of Vectorsurv as a tool for mosquito control districts to enhance the surveillance and control data to protect our state and local communities.

Members of Congress weigh funding requests more heavily when they come directly from their constituents, like you, rather than from national associations. In other words, the important thing is that the requests come from you, as a constituent, since you will be given priority over other appropriations requests that the office may receive from other organizations.  As a result, your participation in this process is vital to achieving success. Without your direct engagement and interaction with your Member of Congress, we will have no hope of securing our appropriations request.

In an attempt to make this as easy as possible, we are asking that you send the email to the right to your Members of Congress. There will be a couple of steps needed to make the letters personalized.  Please follow the instructions above the email.

Please contact Gary Goodman <gwgoodman@fightthebite.net>, AMCA Federal Appropriations and Legislation Committee Chairman, if you have any questions.

Thank you for your help!
