Support Critical Federal Public Education Investments in FY 2026

It is imperative that Congress provides the necessary, long-term investments to provide all students with a high-quality, well-rounded public education and the comprehensive learning supports they need to succeed and thrive, including access to school psychologists. Congress determines funding levels for critical education programs, such as Title I and IDEA funding. Urge your members of Congress to support funding levels that will safeguard and increase the federal investment in public education.

In addition to Title I and IDEA funding, Congress provides key funding to address the workforce shortages of school psychologists and other school mental health professionals. Shortages are leaving too many students without access to the learning, social, and emotional supports they need and creating an undue burden on the school psychology workforce. Our students deserve better, and so do we.

Join NASP in calling on Congress to support funding for new awards of the only two federal grants that address the shortage of school psychologists in FY 2026 and beyond.
