Tell Congress: Reject Drastic Cuts to Public Education
The Trump Administration has once again requested drastic cuts to federal public education funding. It is imperative that Congress rejects this request and instead provides the long-term investments needed so all students can access a world class public education and the comprehensive learning supports they need to succeed and thrive. Tell your members of Congress to reject drastic cuts to K-12 schools and programs.

Importantly, the proposed cuts eliminate the only two grants focused on addressing the workforce shortages of school psychologists and other school mental health professionals, and cut or eliminate many other K-12 programs. It is clear that more investment is needed in public schools—not less—to meet the needs of all students and families and to address pervasive systemic challenges such as workforce shortages.

Join NASP in calling on Congress to protect public education and invest in our schools in FY 2027.
