NASW-MN pursues social work licensure compact

It benefits social workers and the workforce when we ease the licensing path to practice in multiple states. After several years of planning, social work organizations around the country are ready to pursue legislation to make this option a reality. NASW-MN is joining other advocates around the country to pass the proposed language in the 2024 legislative session; Senator Morrison and Representative Smith will be the lead authors. 

Once at least seven states pass this language, representatives will gather to finalize fees and other logistics so that it can be fully implemented. Read all about the compact here
