Make Permanent Licensing Equity for Social Workers

Bill # H5158 and S266: Make Permanent Licensing Equity For Social Workers (Rep. Shallcross Smith & Sen. DiMario):

Access to licensing equity is imperative to social workers' success rates in marginalized communities. The LCSW exam has been proven to exemplify disproportionate exam rights among marginalized communities. Since the removal of the exam in 2022, there has been a yearly increase in the number of licensed social workers entering the field. This bill is set to be removed in August 2025, unless we take action to keep the bill in place.
