Revenue For Rhode Island
Bill # H7313 and S2238: Revenue For Rhode Island

Revenue for Rhode Island is needed to create a safe and prosperous community for the people who reside in the state. Currently, the tax system is favorable towards the top earners, creating disproportionate tax rates based on socioeconomic groupings that do not enforce tax and budget accountability. The new revenue created by implementing a 3% surtax on the top 1% of income earners (those earning over $640,000 in personal income) will lead to better education, infrastructure, and transportation.
