House File 2600, the Iowa Athletic Trainer Compact bill, has passed through Committee. It has now been introduced in the House and we need your help encouraging Representatives to advance this important legislation.
The Athletic Trainer Interstate Licensure Compact makes it easier for athletic trainers to do their job—especially if they work near state lines, relocate, or support teams that travel. It allows qualified athletic trainers to practice in participating states while keeping licensure decisions in state hands. The compact helps protect continuity of care, strengthens emergency and public health response, and removes unnecessary licensing barriers. Participation is limited to athletic trainers who meet uniform requirements, hold an unencumbered license, and follow all member-state laws.
