Senate Bill 1312 would authorize Pennsylvania to join the Athletic Trainer Compact. The compact creates a streamlined pathway for eligible athletic trainers to practice in participating states while preserving each state’s authority over licensure, professional standards and discipline.
Joining the AT Compact would strengthen workforce mobility, support military service members and their spouses when they relocate, expand patient access to qualified athletic trainers and reduce unnecessary administrative barriers. It would also improve information sharing among member states to support public protection.
Pennsylvania is home to outstanding athletic training education programs and professionals. By supporting SB 1312, lawmakers can help the Commonwealth retain and attract qualified athletic trainers while ensuring patients continue to receive high-quality care.
Contact your state senator today and ask them to support SB 1312 and Pennsylvania’s entry into the Athletic Trainer Compact.
