Last year, President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (H.R. 1) prevented Medicaid funding from going to major abortion providers for one year. This was a tremendous victory, but unfortunately, that provision is set to expire on July 4, 2026.  We should be celebrating our country’s 250th year of Independence, not restoring hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to America's major abortion provider. The U.S. Congress can extend this pro-life provision by including it in the budget reconciliation bill. 

Congress should also prevent the use of federal Title X family planning dollars from going to major abortion providers through the appropriations process. The timing of action on the appropriations bills is uncertain, but it’s not too early to inform your representatives that this too is an important issue. 

Please urge your U.S. Representative and two U.S. Senators to work to enact these important pro-life policies into law.
