Pass the Innovative FEED Act

The bipartisan Innovative FEED Act would streamline the regulatory process for non-nutritive animal food ingredients with widespread societal benefits, such as reducing human foodborne illness, improving animal production, and protecting the environment.

NGFA supports the Innovative FEED Act because it will cut unnecessary regulatory red tape and modernize the U.S. animal feed industry by encouraging innovation while maintaining strict food safety standards. Europe, Japan, and Australia already have similar systems in place.

Lawmakers are encouraged to co-sponsor S. 1906 and H.R. 2203 and swiftly pass legislation that will speed the approval of feed additives with production, health, and conservation benefits by as much as 10 years.
