Ask Governor Sherrill to Increase Nonpublic Security Funding
Nonpublic schools, particularly religious schools, have experienced a variety of threats in recent years. An example is the recent attack at the school in Minneapolis, MN. The current funding for nonpublic school security does not provide sufficient funding for the security guards and other materials need to adequately protect nonpublic school students.

Please tell Governor Mikie Sherrill to increase state funding for nonpublic school security to $260.00 per pupil, which is an increase of $55.00 per pupil. This increase is necessary because of the ongoing threats to nonpublic schools, particularly those operated by religious organizations.
