Ask the Legislature to Increase Funding for Nonpublic Schools

Top Priority

Governor Christie's Budget for Fiscal Year 2018 (2017-2018 school year) kept the ceiling for nonpublic school transportation at $884.00 which has been frozen since the 2007-2008 school year.  Increasing this ceiling is our top priority.

Second Priority

Governor Christie has cut $9 million from nonpublic school nursing, security, and technology accounts that were provided in the current state budget for the 2016-2017 school year.

If your state legislators are on one of the Budget Committees, please ask them to increase the ceiling for nonpublic school transportation, and to restore at least the amount for nursing, technology, and security funds cut by Governor Christie in his proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Budget.  If your State legislators are not on one of the Budget Committees, ask them to urge their colleagues on the Committees to increase the transportation ceiling and restore the funding to nursing, technology and security.
