The research is clear, music and arts education supports student learning and academic achievement, helps social emotional growth of children, improves critical thinking, and fosters positive health, wellness, and brain development. 

S.6318A/A.6490B requires instruction in arts and music education to be incorporated into curricula for ALL public school students and requires school districts to ensure that appropriately certified teachers are providing such education.
