Tell Congress to condemn the illegal abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia
Since the Russian full-scale invasion, at least 19,546 Ukrainian children, out of an estimated 200,000, have been forcibly transferred or deported by Russia. At least 4,550 of those children are deprived of parental care and have no one able to go get them out of Russia.

This is a war crime and an act of genocide and should be recognized as such. S. Res. 158, a resolution condemning these acts by Russia, is an important step toward facilitating the return of abducted Ukrainian children and holding Russia accountable for the crime of child deportation. The US has to act now: every day in Russian captivity exposes children to the risk of being adopted and stripped of their national identity.

Abducted children are separated from their families and taken away from their native environment to Russian-controlled territories where they are subject to forcible russification, re-education and illegal adoption. According to the report by the Humanitarian Research Lab at Yale School of Public Health, at least 43 facilities in Russia are involved in the forcible reeducation of Ukrainian children, including paramilitary training.

Tell Congress to pass S. Res. 158 to send a message to Russia: bring Ukraine’s children home.
