Congress Must Prioritize Mothers in the Build Back Better Act
On November 19, the House of Representatives advanced legislation, the Build Back Better Act, that would require all states to extend postpartum Medicaid coverage from 60 days to a full year. The bill would also make new investments in maternal health programs focused on improving outcomes for mothers of color, bolstering maternal health data collection, and increasing funding for biomedical and public health research. You can read more about the provisions here.

It's now time for the Senate to take action. Write your Senators and tell them to stand up for pregnant people and new moms by advancing a reconciliation package that includes these critical maternal health provisions.
