—Pope Leo XIV, address to artificial intelligence conference, 05 December 2025
Palantir is a company many are only just beginning to hear about, but this tech giant is integrated into government agencies of several countries to develop domestic surveillance and facilitate oppressive activity against minority groups. Palantir openly supports Israel’s genocide against Palestinians and has integrated with U.S. federal agencies and police departments to target people for immigration actions and “predictive policing” of those who have not committed crimes. The company consumes and stores personal data in data centers on a massive scale to feed its AI tools that enable the abuse of constitutional and human rights. A handful of billionaires – including Palantir co-founders Peter Thiel and Alex Karp – are using their wealth and technologies to erode democracy and entrench corporate control at the expense of our rights, freedoms, and futures as working people.
Please use the draft email in the grey box at right (below on mobile devices) to urge your members of Congress to publicly renounce any campaign contributions from Palantir and affiliated individuals and organizations.
In December, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace (CSJP) filed a shareholder proposal at Palantir to request a Human Rights Impact Assessment be published regarding their products and services. Following on their action, secular communities and members of numerous faith traditions are echoing this call, and many are joining together from April 2–13 for a week of action to Purge Palantir from our government agencies. The campaign’s website includes a toolkit to encourage members of Congress to reject donations from Palantir as well as the means to sign up for ongoing updates from #PurgePalantir.
