Please join our partners at the Catholic Climate Covenant in their first legislative action of the 2026 Summer Advocacy Campaign: For Our Common Home and the Common Good. You may sign a letter urging Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin to reconsider harmful policy decisions and use his position to protect creation and promote human flourishing. This letter will be delivered to the EPA on July 24th during a prayer event.

Since January 2025, the EPA has weakened key environmental protections, rolled back safeguards against dangerous pollution and reduced consideration of the real human costs of poor air quality and climate change.

Among the policy changes over the past 1½ years was the repeal of the “endangerment finding,” a determination by the EPA in 2009 that greenhouse gas emissions endanger public health and welfare. That earlier ruling became the foundation for much federal policy to address the harms of climate change.

Administrator Zeldin has boasted that his policies are “driving a dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion.”
