Last fall NSTA expanded its advocacy efforts to elevate science and STEM education nationwide. Our work is guided by five strategic goals:

• Support Federal Science and STEM Education Funding Streams
• Advance Policies to Benefit Science Educators
• Elevate Science as an Accountability Priority
• Leverage the STEM Education Coalition to Advance NSTA Goals
• Defend and Advance Science and STEM Education Priorities at the State Level

While we have a strong plan in place to drive these priorities forward, meaningful progress depends on the collective voice of our community. Your advocacy plays a vital role in amplifying our impact. 

As Congress begins work on the new fiscal year, this current letter to Congress in the NSTA Legislative Action Center provides our lawmakers with policy and funding priorities we believe are critical to science and STEM education.
