Studies show that individuals facing high out-of-pocket costs associated with diagnostic and supplemental imaging are less likely to have their recommended breast imaging. This can mean that the person will likely delay needed care until the cancer has spread to other parts of the body making it more deadly and much costlier to treat.
That is why Komen’s Center for Public Policy worked with Senator Rachel Cabral-Guevara to introduce legislation, SB 264, to eliminate burdensome out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic and supplemental imaging to aid in the early detection of breast cancer.
Join us in asking the Wisconsin Senate to support SB 264 to ensure affordable access to breast imaging!
