Securing federal funding for breast cancer research has never been more important. Biomedical research at institutions like the National Institute of Health (NIH) and National Cancer Institute (NCI) are driving forces behind decades of advances that have improved the health of people in every corner of America—especially the lives of those impacted by breast cancer. Komen’s Center for Public Policy is calling on lawmakers to prioritize essential breast cancer research in Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26). Legislators need to hear from YOU that patients depend on robust, sustained and predictable annual funding for medical research.
