Take Action Now to Protect Metastatic Cancer Patients in Michigan
Step therapy, also referred to as “fail first,” requires a patient to first try a health plan preferred drug and have that drug fail them prior to receiving coverage for their originally prescribed drug.

Step therapy creates additional barriers for a patient to receive their medically prescribed treatment(s), ultimately exacerbating their medical condition and resulting in higher medical utilization costs.

Patients and physicians should have the opportunity to choose the best course of treatment without the burden of harmful insurer cost containment policies.

Take action now to urge your Representative to ensure patients to have fair and equal access to the treatments that may save their lives!
