Susan G. Komen Center for Public Policy

Join Susan G. Komen's Center for Public Policy Virtual Day of Action!
At the Susan G. Komen Center for Public Policy Advocacy Summit in Washington, DC hundreds of breast cancer advocates come together to meet with members of Congress and their staff to share their stories and ask them to support increased funding, more affordable access to care and fewer barriers for patients. You can bolster their efforts by taking action with us!

Call on Congress to do more for the breast cancer community by supporting our asks:

  • Reduce patient out-of-pocket costs for medically necessary diagnostic and supplemental breast imaging by cosponsoring the Access to Breast Cancer Diagnosis Act (H.R.3037/S.1500). If this bill passes, timely breast cancer screening will be more accessible for millions of Americans.
  • Safeguard critical breast and cervical cancer safety-net services by cosponsoring the Screening for Communities to Receive Early and Equitable Needed Services (SCREENS) for Cancer Act (H.R. 2381/S.1866). This legislation reauthorizes the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, allowing it to expand use evidence-based interventions to reach under-resourced communities.
  • Protect access to breast cancer screening and diagnostic services by investing in the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Through these funds, Americans without adequate insurance across the country will have access to potentially life-saving breast health services.
  • Advance innovative breast cancer research by supporting robust investment in the National Institutes of Health. We cannot lose ground on vital biomedical research which has the potential to have an unprecedented impact on breast cancer detection and treatment.

Together, we can make a difference for breast cancer across the nation.
