Support the FLUEnT Act: Families Learning and Understanding English Together
US Representative Raul Grijalva (D-AZ-7) has introduced the FLUEnt Act (HR 3606) to support the families of multilingual learners of English (MLEs) by expanding and enhancing family literacy services, to improve there educational, social, economic advancement, and employability. This bill authorizes award grants to family literacy providers and programs of MLEs, fostering greater community involvement and parental support for MLEs. The bill aims to improve academic and economic outcomes through access to high quality, research-based literacy instruction and best practices.
