The President's "Skinny Budget" calls for significant cuts to education (see proposed cuts and rationale here).
Urge your members to fund education in 2026 appropriations:
- Level-fund or increase ESEA Title III English Language Acquisition funding - the President seeks to eliminate funding
- Level-fund or increase WIOA Title II (AEFLA) Adult Education State Grants funding - the President seeks to eliminate funding
- Level-fund or increase ESEA Title I.C Migrant Education funding - the President seeks to eliminate funding
- Level-fund or increase HEA Title II Teacher Quality Partnership funding - the President seeks to eliminate funding
- Level-fund or increase Education and Cultural Exchange funding - the President seeks to cut funding by over 90%
- Level-fund or increase funding the USED Office for Civil Rights - the President seeks to cut funding by over 30%
