As the Benefits Bridge Coalition works to implement policy solutions to the benefits cliff, two things are clear: (1) state benefits need to be reformed to encourage economic mobility; and (2) the collaboration of social service administrators is needed to identify feasible reforms.
By creating a benefits cliff task force, the state can convene the right group of officials to begin this work.
The Legislature passed the bill unanimously; now, we need to convince the Governor to sign it.
