Pass Scaffold Law Relief
New York’s outdated Scaffold Law unfairly holds property owners, employers, and contractors absolutely liable for injuries when a worker falls on a construction site. New York has the highest liability standard in the nation; as a result, New York construction projects are significantly more expensive due to the heightened insurance needed.

Given New York State’s refusal to sensibly reform its Scaffold Law, federal preemption is needed.

Congressman Nick Langworthy introduced legislation that would make construction more affordable by using a sensible negligence standard on federally funded projects. Tell Congress to provide Scaffold Law relief!
