To help address cargo theft, urge Congress to pass the SAFER Transport Act
Cargo theft remains at an all-time high within the U.S. as foreign and domestic criminal organizations use evolving strategies ranging from cyber-attacks to corporate identity theft  to steal shipments without detection. Senator Young (R-IN) has introduced the SAFER Transport Act (S. 3950) to address cargo theft and strategic fraud. This legislation aims to do this by:

• Limiting the operation of foreign dispatch services in the U.S. supply chain
• Establishing a cargo advisory committee that will include brokers
• Requiring coordination between DOT and DOJ to combat cargo theft
• Enact motor carrier registration reform to better protect the supply chain, including increased penalties for fraudulent information submission, and
• Improving driver training registry and licensing requirements to enhance the safety of the traveling public

Please use this form to send a letter asking your Senators to support the SAFER Transport Act. Personalized stories from constituents have the greatest impact on Congress, so we encourage you to personalize your letter with any stories you have about the importance of addressing cargo theft and the need to pass this legislation.
