Vietnam Veterans of America

Urge Senators to Advance Their Version of BRAVE Act (S. 609)
Too many veterans face barriers when trying to access the mental health care they have earned. The Building Resources and Access for Veterans’ Mental Health Engagement (BRAVE) Act of 2025 offers a meaningful path forward.

Urge your U.S. Senators to support this critical legislation.

The BRAVE Act strengthens the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) ability to deliver timely, effective mental health care. It helps address provider shortages, expands outreach through Vet Centers, and increases support for community-based suicide prevention efforts through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program.

The bill also takes important steps to ensure care reflects the needs of all veterans, especially women veterans, by improving outreach, evaluating barriers to access, and enhancing risk assessment tools and expands access to mental health consultations and specialized treatment programs for veterans with complex conditions.

Our message is clear: Veterans should never have to struggle to access the care they need after serving our nation.  Urge your Senators to support S. 609, the BRAVE Act of 2025.
