Major changes to FDA mammography standards (2024) require breast density information in reports, yet there is still no federal law ensuring affordable breast imaging. That’s why Virginia must take action now. HB 1828 would eliminate out-of-pocket costs for essential screenings, ensuring that no Virginian has to delay or forgo a life-saving exam due to financial barriers.
