One anti-sportsmen and one pro-sportsmen-related bill passed the legislature before sine died. These bills will be transmitted to Governor Ned Lamont for consideration.
HB 7042 permits filing a civil action against a firearm industry member who fails to exercise “reasonable” control over firearm industry products. This legislation is just one of the tools gun control extremists are using to try to bankrupt the firearm industry to stop firearm owners from exercising their right to hunt, shoot recreationally, or for self-defense.
HB 7231 authorizes hunting on Sundays on private lands. However, hunting migratory birds is still closed on Sundays.
Email the Governor urging him to support sportsmen by Vetoing HB 7042 and signing HB 7231 into law.
Even though the 2025 legislative session is over, the Sportsmen’s Alliance will continue to monitor activities in the Constitution State. You never know when issues that sportsmen need to be aware of may arise.

Don’t forget share this message with your family and friends as sportsmen. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. The extremists work tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
