Email the Governor and ask him to continue his support for sportsmen and gun owners and sign SB 2028 and SB 1554 into law.
Governor Lee has ten days to sign or veto a bill. If he allows that time to pass without action, the bill automatically becomes law, a major win for Tennessee sportsmen. We are calling on him to either sign these bills or allow them to become law to protect our heritage.
SB 1554 was transmitted to the Governor on March 20. This bill secures the future of our natural resources by extending the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission through June 30, 2030.
SB 2028 was transmitted to the Governor yesterday, March 27. This bill ensures local governments, including cities, counties, and municipalities, cannot regulate the “manner and means” of taking wildlife, establishing that the sole authority to regulate hunting practices rests with the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).
Our strength lies in our numbers; if we don’t take action, our voices go unheard, and our interests aren’t represented. Take 30 seconds to forward this email to your family, friends, and hunting buddies and urge them to contact Governor Lee to sign SB 1554 and SB 2028 into law.
There has never been a more crucial time in sportsmen’s history than now to be involved and engaged in protecting our way of life. The legacy of hunting, fishing, and trapping depends on our actions today. Urge your family and friends to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in the fight against the rising tide of animal extremism and gun control activism.
