New York's 2024 legislative session begins on January 3, 2024, and plans to adjourn on June 6, 2024.  

 

The AAE is currently tracking the following bills:

A 2061: Relates to dental, medical and podiatric malpractice actions and to establishing a limitation on non-economic damages in personal injury actions 
A 3418: Relates to creating the N.Y. State Health Care Consumer and Provider Protection and Equity Act 
A 3833: Requires health insurance coverage for craniofacial disorders 
S 45: Establishes an elderly dental insurance coverage program; appropriation 
S 1740: Requires dental insurance coverage to be offered to employees that is effective immediately upon the starting date of employment 
S 1973: Requires dental insurance plans to automatically carry over a portion of the enrollee's benefit amount for use in the succeeding year 
S 2286: Enacts the "Give Kids a Chance - Carter's Law"; mandates health insurance coverage for congenital anomalies 
S 2652: Provides for the allocation of monies for dental health services in the medicaid managed care program, the child health insurance program and the family health plus program 
S 2875: Establishes a senior dental services grant program 
S 5168: Establishes a veterans' dental insurance program
S 07013 Establishes Medical Loss Ratio for Dental Insurance
