Representative LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) reintroduced the Amputation Reduction and Compassion (ARC) Act of 2025, which would eliminate cost-sharing for peripheral artery disease (PAD) screening tests for at-risk patients in Medicare and Medicaid, create a PAD education program under HHS, and establish a voluntary pilot program under the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) that promotes nontraumatic, lower-limb amputation prevention.
