Tell Congress to Prioritize Patients, Not Paperwork!
Sens. Roger Marshall, MD (R-KS) and Mark Warner (D-VA) and Reps. Suzan DelBene (D-WA), Mike Kelly (R-PA), John Joyce, (R-PA), and Ami Bera, MD (D-CA) reintroduced the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act to address prior authorization challenges faced by podiatric physicians and the patients that they serve. The bill requires Medicare Advantage plans to adopt common-sense prior authorization practices like electronic transmission and shorter timelines for making shorter decisions.

The bill would provide administrative relief for podiatric physicians and help prevent delays in access to care that cause significant distress for patients who are in need of timely treatment. This is a unique opportunity to secure bipartisan, common sense prior authorization reform for the future and now is the time to make a difference. Your story, as a podiatrist and a constituent, provides trusted clinical insight to Congressional offices and pulls immense weight in encouraging members to act.

Contact your legislators and tell them to eliminate unnecessary delays! For greater impact, please personalize your message by adding your own story about this issue. If your Representative or Senators have co-sponsored the bill, the message will change to thanking them for their support. We urge you to still send the message and add your own personal story for maximum impact.
