Marty is a lifelong resident of northern Pennsylvania where he grew up on his family’s dairy farm in McKean County, attended our local schools, dedicated his life to public service and has fought to defend our conservative values in the State House.
Prior to serving in the Legislature, Marty was a dispatcher at the 9-1-1 center in Smethport and worked as a police officer for the Borough of Port Allegany. He is also a life member of the Port Area Ambulance Service where he served as a longtime volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. He also served his community for many years as an Annin Township Supervisor. Helping families, small businesses and local farmers has always been a priority in Marty's life. He continues to fight for our jobs, schools, and our way of life.
As our conservative State Representative, Marty puts the families of Cameron, McKean and Potter counties first by delivering results. With respect for the hard-working taxpayers who foot the bill, Marty has led efforts to reform state government and Pennsylvania's welfare system. He has stood strong against Tom Wolf’s proposed tax increases and out-of-control budgets. He led the effort to roll back Wolf's unconstitutional mandates and stop Wolf's push to take away our Second Amendment rights. He fights every day for our most precious right, the right to life.
A strong advocate for Voter ID and efforts to restore election integrity, his ongoing fight to protect our conservative values defines who he is – here at home and in Harrisburg. In 2020, he fought to reelect President Trump and worked to stop the continuous overreach by the radical liberal Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Marty stood strong for us by opposing the midnight pay raise while backing government reforms that focus on cutting waste and bringing more accountability for state spending.
Marty has been a champion of taxpayers and our rural families. He advocates for policies that support the industries driving the rural economy, including agriculture, forestry, and the oil and gas industries. He fights for funding for rural schools, health care, and our fire and ambulance companies. He is a leader in the ongoing effort to bring broadband service to the region.
Marty is running for reelection because he believes there is still much more to accomplish for rural Pennsylvania. He is one of us working for all of us!
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Marty resides in Turtlepoint and is a member of Saint Mary's Church in Sartwell. He is the proud father of three children: Matthew, Morgan, and Mallory.
