- A funding increase for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and policies that ensure neuromuscular disease research remains strong.
- The Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act, improving access to Medicaid for children with rare and complex medical conditions.
- The Give Kids a Chance Act, reauthorizing the rare pediatric disease priority review voucher (PRV) program.
- ALS, FSHD, SMA, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy research through the U.S. Department of Defense’s medical research programs.
- Stable funding for key muscular dystrophy, ALS, and newborn screening programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
