09/18/23 PHARMACY VOTER ALERT (US): Get Ready for National Voter Registration Day!
Action AlertWith about 50 days until the November 7th General Election, NACDS RxIMPACT is calling on all Pharmacy Voters to make plans TODAY to register to vote and to prepare to vote in the upcoming elections!
We’re calling on ALL Pharmacy Voters to assure voter registration, but especially those residing in Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Virginia. Collectively these states will elect 600 state leaders, including Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi state governors.
Put simply, it’s time for all of us to tap into that Pharmacy Voter spirit! If you are registered to vote and are ready for the big day in November, that’s great (consider then encouraging a colleague)! If you are unsure or are not yet registered to vote, it’s go time! On September 19th, the nation will celebrate National Voter Registration Day and the importance of voter registration across the nation. Together, let’s show ‘em Pharmacy Voters are ready, willing, and able! Access our voter registration resources.
Elected leaders construct not only the laws by which you live, but the laws by which you are able to serve your patients. They introduce bills, pitch resolutions, and offer amendments. The pharmacy community has seen concrete examples over the years of how Governors, state leaders, and members of the U.S. Congress have played a critical role in the future – and fate – of pro-patient and pro-pharmacy policies and whether they are enacted into law. Those elected in November are key to the future of our community’s policy priorities.
